We are open to the public, however, we ask that patrons take precautions to limit the possible transmission of illness.  We encourage patrons to wear face masks and practice social distancing.  Library programming is being phased back in as resources allow.  We are closing 30 minutes earlier each day to allow time for cleaning.

Friends of the Library

The Friends of the Hartley Public Library began in 1996 and continues to provide support for a variety of library programs.  Meetings of the group are held as needed a few times a year and are open all Friends and community members.  The Friends support the library by providing financial support, volunteer efforts, snacks and treats for programs, etc.  Members are welcome to act as volunteers at the library, assisting in various tasks as needed by library staff.  If you are interested in helping at the library, stop in and have a chat with us.

The Friends of the Hartley Public Library is a recognized 501(c)(3) charitable organization.  All donations to the Friends are fully tax-deductable, and are accepted at any time during regular library hours.  We greatly appreciate the support of the community for the Hartley Public Library.

The next Friends meeting will be held at 5:00 p.m. on September 15, 2020 in the library.
