Charlene Elyea, O’Brien County Naturalist will be at Hartley Public Library at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 18, to take a fascinating look at the dilemmas facing our natural resources. Join Charlene to find out what happened to the birds so great in numbers that they darkened the sky. Where are the clams that once covered the bottoms of our streams? Would you believe that you can find them at the end of a fly fishing rod and in the middle of your coat! “Trials and Triumphs” will features some stories of destruction but will end on a high note of encouragement. The program will feature literary works such as “The Feather Thief” by Kirk Wallace Johnson and “From the Bottom Up” by Chad Pregracke. Join us at the library for the second of the Winter Conservation programs and for an enjoyable look at the world that surrounds us.
