Roger Stoner, author of Horse Woman’s Child and “Life With My Wife” will be at Hartley Public Library on Wednesday, November 21, with his newest book, “Boone’s Woman: A Novel of the Early American Frontier”. Roger will be available for signing copies of his book from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. with a presentation at 2:00 p.m. He will have copies available for sale but urges everyone to stop by and chat. No purchase is necessary. Roger is probably best known for his last novel, Horse Woman’s Child, the story of the Spirit Lake Massacre. Boone’s Woman tells the story of the early life of his childhood hero, Daniel Boone, through the eyes of Daniel’s wife, Rebecca. His first book, Life With My Wife: The Memoir of an Imperfect Man is a compilation of 50 humorous observations about day to day frivolities between a man and his mate written during his 15 ½ years as a columnist. Whether you’re interested in the writing life or just want to talk to an author, stop by the library and enjoy getting to know Roger Stoner.
