The Between the Covers Book Club meets monthly.

The Between the Covers Book Club was formed on April 14, 2009 by the staff at the Hartley Public Library.

Club members meet monthly on the last Tuesday of the month from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Meeting Room of the Library.

Each month a new selection is chosen and members receive a copy to read which must be returned to the library when they finish.

It is open to the public and we currently have about 15-17 active members.

The facilitator is Ellen Treimer, Adult Programmer for the library.

Books are chosen by research and the club attempts to read a variety of genres with the purpose of exposing themselves to books and authors they may have not sampled in the past.  A lively discussion is enjoyed and participants come away with a sense of having learned something new about their world.

For more information you may call the library at 712-928-2080.
