Summertime Fun: Geocaching with Dan DeGroot!
Dan DeGroot will present a program on geocaching (pronounced geo-cashing) from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 21 at the Hartley Public Library.
If you love games, adventuring, and locating “new finds” sometimes right under your own eyes you’re going to love learning about this popular but relatively unknown pastime.
Geocaching is a real world outdoor treasure hunting game. Players try to locate hidden containers called geocaches and share their experiences online using the internet to connect with others. There’s a whole universe of people finding things right in their own back yard! We have caches hidden here in Hartley and you’ll find them everywhere no matter how near or far you travel this summer.
If you’re looking for a new summer interest that you can do on your own or with family and friends you won’t want to miss this program. Adults and kids alike will want to attend. Dan may even take you out to locate a cache!
